Our experience at this location was with the alterations department. I would not take anything to them to be altered. We purchased a bridal gown at another location, but the bride moved & had the alterations done here.

The general alterations were ok, the dress fit when the bride tried it on. However, they destroyed the bustle. When bride came to pick it up, she did not have anyone with her (because she is new to the area). They criticized her for that. An appointment to pick up the dress should have been 30 minutes. She was there for almost 2 hours and had to leave for work & the dress still was not ready. One seamstress was having someone else do the work; she would come look at it and say "that is wrong - do it again". Never telling her what was wrong or how to do it right. Bride was crying & very upset.
The seamstress who was doing the work was very helpful & customer service oriented. Just maybe not experienced enough.
Bride brought the dress to the location of the wedding & we were trying to see how the bustle worked. After 30 minutes of going through all the layers, the bride was about ready to take scissors to the train.
I called David's Bridal in my area & spoke with the alterations manager. She was very helpful & said I could bring the dress in for them to look at. Her assistant took 1 look at the dress & laughed! All the employees were shocked at how horrible this dress was. They repaired it and took the time to show us how to bustle it correctly. But because this location is 1+hours from my home, it was still an all day event.

If there is another David's Bridal alteration option, use it. Or find someone private who can do it. Don't trust this location with your bridal gown.

Lynn was so very helpful to help me find my perfect dress!! She would not stop until we found it. Paula is wonderful to help me alter my dress to completely make it my own, I am so very thankful they are so willing to help me!!!

Absolutely wonderful working with Lisa to pick my friends wedding dress. Will highly recommend to anyone.

I chose David's Bridal for my wedding gown and my bridesmaids dresses because i have always had a good experience with the sales side and alterations side. I purchased 2 prom dresses and quite a few formal gowns from them, never had any issues or concerns.



David's Bridal had the dress I wanted that matched almost exactly to a dress I found at Norman's Bridal and a Touch of Class, for less than HALF the price. I had an ok experience on the sales side... they let me try on about 10 dresses, got me in earlier than my appointment time which was nice. When it was getting close to my end time, I was torn between 2 dresses and was told I had to make the decision because they didn't have time to help me anymore, which I found ABSURD!!! If I wasn't so in love with the two dresses and on a time constraint with my wedding date coming up so soon, I would have walked out and NEVER returned.



The dress came in early, but with several frays in the lace and tulle, as well as disconnected jewels. I went in for my first alterations appointment and the alterations lady questioned why I wanted certain things done to the dress.. It's nice to have an opinion from a professional seamstress, but when a bride wants something done that is feasible and reasonable, you do it. Instead, she was condescending and judgmental.



My overall experience has been poor... I suggest for future Brides to work a couple extra hours a week and go to a more expensive bridal shop to have the experience you DESERVE when you are shopping for YOUR day.

Megan and Jenna were literally so amazing. The Springfield location was out of the dress that I loved and they gave me numbers to places that still had the dress. I am one happy girl!!! Thank you guys sooo much!

If I could give this company, better yet, this store no stars, or negative stars, I would do so. Rosemary, the so called "store manager", runs an unorganized, rude, and unsympathetic team of "employees". She belittles and her employees get annoyed easily. Not only are they unhelpful, they sent my girls and I the wrong bridesmaid dresses, and are now saying our dresses will not be in until the end of April. I get married in May. They are not even trying to absolve the issue.

Bottom line: go anywhere but davids Bridal. It is an awful company to get you dress through and it will take forever,

You will not get good customer service. I will not recommend David's Bridal to any of my other friends who are getting married or who want to get a nice formal gown. You guys suck.

I went here for my wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses. We had Hope assist us and she did an amazing job! I would highly recommend going here! If you go, ask for Hope! She was professional but also made me feel very comfortable. I love that I was not pressured into buying anything. My experience here was amazing and I got exactly what I wanted!

David's bridal in Springfield Missouri is horrible! We went in for there $99 sale and let me tell you what! First of all the dresses on the $99 dollar rack was priced at $500! We didn't know this until I had tried it on and fell in love with it! The worst feeling in the world is falling in love with a dress you thought you was gonna be for $99!!! The manager is a B***h AND SO IS HER STAFF!!! The Manager would even take anything off the price of due to there mistake!! I will ever go back! This is the second time there have screwed me over on a dress! I would not ever suggest going to that store!

I got my bridal gown with them and that experience was wonderful! The lady who helped me was really attentive and involved. However, they bombarded me to come in for bridesmaids dresses. I made an appointment and when I went in tonight, the girl acted disappointed that I was there. She took my list of dresses and automatically stated that they had none of them in stock. I knew for a fact that they had at least 3 of the dresses I had chosen, and sure enough, when I told her so they did. She left me alone to pick out dresses and traded me with another person in the store with no explanation. Then that girl left me alone again. When we were ready to try on, I had to go up and find one of them, and she was standing there chatting with a coworker and acted like I was inconveniencing her. Never came back to check on me and never tried to offer me any help or suggestions. I am very disappointed in this service.

I went there at 5 tonight and the girl who took me for my appointment just seemed like she was rushing me... my wedding is a year and a half from now so I felt as if I was put on the back burner just because I have so much time to plan. she was also very short with me and snobby.

I went with my daughter and the sales woman insisted that she try on certain items, behaving as though it were a requirement. Having had enough, I (at first politely, later a bit more sternly) told her that we were not interested in some of the things she was pushing and she went and got a manager to 'approve' the fact that my daughter didn't want to try on some of the clothing. Never in my life have I ever dealt with people so obnoxious and pushy. Shame on them for trying to railroad (usually) young brides so relentlessly. Since that time, they have called my daughter many times despite her having told them she found her dress elsewhere. Yet they still call. IMHO, these sales people are bottom feeders who would have to lighten up on their tactics to sell used cars. BTW, I've never written a review on anything before, but saw the option here and couldn't resist. My suggestion…stay away unless you want your purchases rammed down your throat. Wish I could give zero stars.

I went there with my cousin and her wedding group to buy her dress and all the bridal gowns for the other girls. We had excellent service right form the start. I would go there again to buy a dress for any event.

They r terrible. I will never go there again. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I went with my sister to davids bridal to try on a bridesmaid dress. They were very unfriendly. They called me to tell me I had to make an appointment to see dresses. After that they proceeded to call me using an automated recording advertising everyday for months! It was very hot in their store when my sister tried dresses on so I asked for a bottle of water. They told me they did not have water and made me feel dumb for asking. My sister was not happy with her purchase and I have not heard any positive experiences from anyone regarding this store.

I recently bought just a chiffon shrug from David's Bridal. They didn't have it in the right color here in Springfield MO so I had to order it from the store in Austin TX. I got the shrug and realized I didn't need it. It has never been worn. It's still in the package they shipped it in with all the tags and the wedding hasn't even happened yet. When I tried to take it back they told I could not as it was store policy not to. Now I can see if it's a dress and someone could just hide the tags, wear it once and then return it but, a CHIFFON shrug??? You can't really wear that without taking off all the tags and the little hanger straps. But no... So, needless to say, I won't be shopping there again and I would not recommend it. Not to mention I paid way too much for it and it shipped in an envelope, not very good quality either.

I went in and most of the staff I dealt with were very polite and helpful. They carry a wide range of styles and sizes to fit most every budget. I found the perfect dress, all the accessories, and luckily didn't need a single alteration. I purchased everything that night--the first place I went to try on, too! (I did do some research online prior to arrival.)
