I have had a 15'x15' space with Extra Space Storage for 7 years. On September 6, 2012, I discovered the locks were not my locks, and thus had to have one lock cut off to gain entry. I could not gain full entry because all of the springs were broken on the three doors to this unit, and I was told they could be replaced that day. But, more disturbingly, I saw a gaping hole on the wall of my side of the unit, that had been replaced on the adjacent side unit (and that unit had

received a new door), and it looked like my space had been vandalized. Extra Space Storage could not replace the springs until September 25, 2012, when the Manager Matt was there. Upon gaining full entry, it became evident that all of my valuables, including antique furniture and collectibles had been stolen. First I was told by the Senior Manager, on October 18th, that the owner of the other unit said the hole was there when he moved in three years ago, then on his second call to me, I was told the owner of the adjoining unit said there was no hole (what???). Whereas, I cannot PROOVE that this theft occurred under Extra Space Storage ownership, I felt I should have been notified when the gaping hole on the adjoining unit was first noticed. They claim it was not replaced under their ownership, which they will not prove, NOR WILL THEY EVEN REFUND SEPTEMBER'S RENT, even though I COULD NOT ENTER my unit until the springs on the doors were replaced and errant locks removed by them on the 25th. Renters should know that the walls of these units CAN BE BROKEN THROUGH, and that the owners apparently don't even notice (or care), when someone breaks the locks off your unit and steals your belongings. Nor, do they feel they should refund your rent, EVEN THOUGH YOU CANNOT GAIN ENTRY to your unit due to THEIR faulty/broken springs or changed locks.

This was my first experience using a storage facility. The great rate quickly came to an end without, and I say it again, without previous notice a few months later. Good luck finding a consistent answer about the rate hike, including with their main office. There's no privacy at the office and the customer service individual is the one doing everything else; therefore you may have to wait a great while before you get some attention. The facility is clean, there are wheels to help you load/unload your things. I give credit to the only employee on duty that has to take the 'heat' for the company.

Great, safe, clean location to store your things. The manager, and office staff are professional, friendly, helpful, and very efficient. Reasonably priced units of all sizes as compared to other companies and a convenient location right near I-95.

The manager is rude!! I went there one one bc i forgot my passcode, i said good morning and apparently he didnt hear me, he replied good moring also and since i already said that i started telling him that i needed the pw. he then got the biggest attitude and kinda threw my code at me.

A few days later i noticed that my rate went up by $10 even though I signed a contract for a lower price .

Extremely clean and well maintained units. Very freindly and helpful owners. Very secure facility. Will rent from them again if needed.

I was charged 29.95 for what I dont know. Be careful and make sure you ask questions. THATS ALOT OF MONEY FOR ADMINISTRATION FEES THAT YOU DON'T GET BACK

The service is horrible.....my family went to put some items in their storage unit and got stuck in the elevator for 20 mins. they rang the bell yelled and did everything they could to get someones attention...so after 20 mins. the manager comes along and says that it was all our fault for not closing the doors right ......well we were coming from outside to go down to the lower level so how was it our fault.....the person that had used it must of not closed it right ....anyways if your place is as secure as it says it is ...shouldn't your have some kind of surveillance in the elevator .... DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE...THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE RUDE AS CAN BE!!!!!!

Extra space storage is a clean facility. The staff really made me feel at home when I rented a storage. They also kept me informed with upcoming bills and if I get behind, they also call to notify. They also provide carts to help with the moving process so thats a plus. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone!

I was very pleased with my storage experience

I've used Extra Space for 2 years now. One was in Colorado Springs, CO and the one I have my things now are in Palmdale, CA. The facilities have always been clean and the staff has been wonderful. They are always willing to help out. The prices always seem reasonable also. They have great gate hours. I love the fact that they have Climate Controlled units so I know that my pictures and personal items are safe from the unpredictable weather that we can have, and they get less dusty than the outside units. Plus they have a referral option where you can use a coupon for $50 off your rent when you have someone rent with them!

Really great rates for such a clean, safe storage facility. Staff is always friendly and will go that extra mile to assist you.

Clean facility, good rates

This is one of the best storage facilities I have been to in Hollywood, CA and the cleanest. Staff is very friendly.

I visited the Extra Space Storage in Antioch, TN on Cane Ridge Rd. The staff there was very polite and very knowledgable. The property was exceptionally clean. I was so impressed we rented right then. I didn't have to look no further. I would recommend this Storage to everyone.

I like this place. It was clean & have great people working in that facility. Some thing they could change like greeting with more energy but either than that is very good place. I recommend this place if your are planning to self store.
