I went to Dr. Kraus about a week ago for glasses and contacts. His prices were ridiculous. I had to pay 160 for him to just look at my eyes with contacts in aka "contact lens exam", when I have been wearing contacts for years. He refused to write a prescription for the contacts I am used to wearing and instead wrote one for a more expensive lens. The sample contacts were horrible and I couldn't wear them more than a day. His receptionists don't have a whole brain between the two. They told me one price for the contacts and then after I paid they realized they charged me "too little" and made me pay more. I will not go back.

Do not go to David Krause! They made me wait one hour, questioned me about why I was there, they are rude (asking me if I'm a patient?) and I believe they overcharge ($200 for visit (medical?) $65 for refraction (insurance covered) and $45 co-pay). The reviewer above is right: the girls there don't act like they know what's going on. They possess the third-bloc attitude of making you wait forever which you can avoid by going to another optometrist.

Do not go to David Kraus. I went in for a routine eye exam that would have been completely covered by my insurance, but he decided to make it a "medical exam" and charged me $160 without me knowing this. He never mentioned to me that I had blepharitis, which is what he diagnosed me with. I do not have this condition. I only found out that he diagnosed me with this when I saw it written down on a post-it when I went back to the office to inquire about the bill. When I finally got in touch with David himself, he told me that it was a medical exam because he asked me "extra questions." He was unable to explain why he hadn't told me abou the condition during my visit. Additionally, the woman working in the office had no idea what she was doing or talking about. Do not go to this doctor.
