Let me begin by saying that I never have used a bad review to try to hurt someone's business...I've always done it with the intent of keeping others from going through the same horrible experience as my own. In my opinion, a business should earn a good reputation and in doing so, they should never have to worry about a bad review affecting their business. That being said, I want to strongly recommend that my fellow neighbors never use Anderson Dental.

Here are my reasons:
1. They overcharge for their services. Big time. In my case, $5000 for something that should have only been $2,000.
2. They require all of their patients to pay upfront in full before anything is done (which in my case, was several different procedures to be done over the period of one year).
3. If you decide to change dentists and have them perform the remainder of the service, they will not refund you the entire amount and will also charge you a "lab fee" for a service they haven't yet performed. Mine was $450 (which I refused to pay)
4. If you do request a refund, be prepared to make about 20 phone calls over a period of 2 weeks, and have only one of them returned. When you do speak with someone, it will get you nowhere because they will keep trying to talk you into using their services and keep making up reasons why your money cannot be refunded.
5. If you are fortunate enough to have time to go into their office and speak with them directly to get something done, you will be lied to about the method and time frame of the refund - we are now out $3800 that we expected to have by the 31st.

Bottom line - if you're looking for a new dentist, shop around to get a reasonable price for the services you need, NEVER pay upfront and avoid Anderson Dental like the plague.

I don't think I will ever go to this clinic again.
I took an appointment two days ago, but when i went to the clinic, I was told that the appointment was cancelled for no reason. The office clerk was very rude to me and was not wiling to talk to me.

I noticed a small stain or two on the front of my teeth so went in for a checkup to see if it was a cavity. Dr. Shaw looked at my teeth and started to remove the stains with her tool and said I needed to just have them cleaned, although my 6 month cleaning would be due in a few weeks. I had previously seen another dentist but since my insurance changed I was forced to find another dentist so I came to see her. After she removed the stains on the front she said I could have the rest removed underneath by the dental hygienist and to sit in the front till they called me. Next thing I know, the office coordinator called me to her office to pay and I asked if they could be cleaned and she said "no not today cause you need to have major periodontal root planning and scaling which is painful and you will need shots first to dull the pain" . so they tried to railroad me into doing something that I didn't even come in for and refused to help me or fix a small cavity unless I made an appt.!!

I wish I could give this a -5 star review. Very inefficient, unhelpful. Mean and unfriendly. They cancelled my father's appointment without notifying him. He does not drive and had to pay for the ride. We he arrived there their employee was very unapologetic and rude attitude when called to ask why he was not informed. They need to train their staff on how to speak to customer and improve their customer service skills.

Please, Please, Please do not waste your time with these dentists or office. $3500 out of pocket for two root canals and crowns just to have one fall out 6 weeks later and the replacement was cheap and did not match the other. Too many infections, too many return visits. Not even a year later I am at a different dentist having to pay the same amount to fix the work Anderson Dental should have done the first time. I would give it negative stars if it were possible.

The rudest and most ridiculous dental group I have ever been to. I had been a patient there for 6+ years before I went to college and had to switch to a dentist in my college town. When I returned they did their ridiculous two visit policy in which you wait two hours to get three x-rays. When scheduling my cleaning visit the receptionist tried to tell me that I needed a "special cleaning" that would cost $112 out of pocket (my co-pay is only $5). When I assured the receptionist that I would not pay for that she double checked with the dentist and he told her that I could have the regular cleaning with my regular co-pay. When I returned, TWO WEEKS LATER, another receptionist tried the exact same stunt. She told me that since I had not been a patient for the past several years I would need a special cleaning due to the plaque and tartar build up. I informed her that the dentist confirmed last visit that I did not have any cavities and that I could have the regular cleaning. She went to check with the same dentist and suddenly I needed the special cleaning again. I told the receptionist that I absolutely refused to pay $112 dollars for a cleaning and she asked me if I wanted to reschedule the appointment so I could save up.... Are you serious?? I told her to cancel my appointment and that I would find another dentist. After leaving I realized that they already took my co-pay for the cleaning I never got so I called the office and asked for a refund. They gave me attitude and told me that to get my money back that I would have to come back to the office. After several phone calls and a lot of unprofessional-ism they finally voided my payment. I have always complained about going to this dentist but it was the one my family had been using for so long. This was the final straw, however. Do not become a patient here unless you're a fan of rude receptionists and ridiculous hidden charges.

I made an appointment by phone, but when I got there "I wasn't on the system". When they finally got me in they just did and x-ray and told me to schedule another appointment for my routine dental cleaning. They NEVER told me this in advance. So if you want to come here be prepare to pay for two appointment and make the time to spend almost 2 hours for xrays on your first appointment and come back a sencond day for cleaning.NOT RECOMMENDED

The worst dentist office out there: the personnel at first convince you with a smile and after you pay for the procedure you are suggested you need, they become very unprofessional. Oh, and you pay before they start working with your teeth. Especially, Dr. Strickland, Sandra, Mimi, and the office manager Maria.
