CAVS Youth Basketball is one of the longest-tenured, most respected AAU Youth Basketball programs in the state, featuring uniquely-structured, NBA-style training for boys and girls, ages 7-14. It is a high quality, professional program where many past players advanced to the high school, college and professional basketball levels. Based in Chatsworth, CA, with chapters in Los Angeles and Santa Clarita, practices and competitions occur year-round. CAVS Elite travel teams participate in top local/national AAU tournaments and maintain highly successful championship track records. The CAVS organization annually sponsors two prominent basketball tournaments, the CAVS Holiday Classic and the CAVS Summer Classic. Annual tryouts for placement in CAVS Select Leagues (beginner, intermediate) and CAVS Elite Travel Team Leagues (advanced) are held at the beginning of each season, or by appointment, year-round. The organization gives back to the community by sponsoring underprivileged youth. CAVS Youth Basketball helps boys and girls to be successful both on and off the basketball court. The overall CAVS Youth Basketball program builds confidence, stronger offensive, defensive, individual and team skills and effectively prepares each player for handling high-pressure/difficult situations that occur in sports. The uniquely-structured CAVS training program, (known for its intensity) offers players high-quality, professional coaching and solid support system, yielding visible results after the very first practice session. CAVS Youth Basketball can accommodate and train all levels of players. Beginning and intermediate youth players will train and play with CAVS Select Leagues. More advanced players will train and play with CAVS Elite Travel Team Leagues, which participate in top local/national AAU tournaments and maintain highly successful championship track records. All leagues have practices and games/tournaments year-round. CAVS Youth Basketball does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, etc. Playing time is always determined by attendance (commitment to practices and scheduled games) attitude, ability and willingness to work hard. ***Players as young as six years old can still train with our 7U leagues as long as the coaches/parents mutually agree the individual child can handle it. CAVS Youth Basketball indeed has 6-year olds currently training and playing in tournaments!
