I don't think 5 stars applies since most of the reviews are stale. I would say the place is Hit or Miss. I've had some great pies and some mediocre, the mediocre tasted like the dough was old (chewy). But I can tell you that's the way it is in NY as well, not every pizza in NY is great. Why is there so much smoke in the place sometimes? Read the Specials on the wall before you order, the staff doesn't seem to make any suggestions even if you order the same items as in one of the Specials. Overall, pizza is like sex ---- when it's good it's great. When it's bad, eh, it's still pretty good.

Best New York Pizza has fresh, hot Pizza. For $7 and change, you get 2 slices of delicious cheese Pizza, a garlic knot AND a soda. ALSO...Sierra our server always serves us with a great New York smile... I felt like I was home. One of Florida's BEST Pizza restaurants. Submitted by Carol Todes 6/12/2013.

Best Pizza in Tampa. Hands down!

MUST EAT PIZZA SPOT!!! AMAZING PIZZA! If your in the area you gotta try this place...thier pizza is to die for! Their salads and other Italian favs are YUM too!! I was visiting Tampa from NYC and happened by this place with the bold name BEST NY PIZZA...& I gotta tell you they really do live up to it! I'm big on customer service &it was outstanding! Very welcoming and friendly staff... only flaw is they don't have another location in my home town....I'd definitely be a regular if the did:)

Unacceptable. I recently ate at what is called the Best New York Pizza in Tampa and have a few comments I would like to share about my experience. I sat at a table and had half of the staff sit in the booth directly behind me talking loud enough for me to not be able to hold a conversation because I would be interrupted by their obnoxious banter. I then had to ask for my waters which was never received and was thrilled to later find while I had to get up and ask for a refill to see my waitress grab my cup and fill it with tap water from the sink that the employees use to wash their hands with. I was then forced to watch two parties get their pizzas before me even though they placed their pizza orders after me and it seemed as if they ordered the same pizza. The pizza I ordered was a basic cheese pizza, nothing out of the ordinary. After all this I ate a pizza that was mediocre at best. So unacceptable is the term I have derived for this establishment.

I'm sitting here actually connected on their new WIFI eating the most incredible pizza ever!!! Love the fact that I can sit here and enjoy this amazing slice of cheese pizza and stay connected with facebook! This deserved an instant review! I'll be eating lunch here more often!

A Favorite of mine

Best we've found in Tampa.

Wow, what a difference! We normally come in during lunch throughout the week so imagine my surprise when we came in for dinner and find these two doors open leading into a new room that offers full service dining! At first we were a little leary about what their full service dining included (we thought it would be more expensive) I have to say that we were happily surprised to find that it's the same price regardless if we ate on the regular side or this side. The only difference that we found besides having a server was that they have what they call "New & Exclusive" items that you can only get on the full service side. We will be back and I think we will pick Mondays since that seems to be a quite night! See you soon!

Really the Best Pizza in Tampa. They truly deserve the name Best NY Pizza!

My family and I just had dinner in Best NY Pizza's new dining room. I have to say that it was great! I enjoyed the Chicken Piccata and my husband loved the Marsala! The kids shared a 10" pizza which is always perfect. The servers are so friendly. While our server was away we had another server come up to us and ask if the kids would like coloring pages while we waited for our food. I thought it was great to see that all of the servers made sure each diner (not just their tables) were taken care of. Keep up the good work! We'll be back soon!

I love the new dining room! Looks like they had a decorator do the job! New food is fab too! Love it. Can't wait to go back!

The new dining room is amazing and the new menu options available on that side are great too! I have to say that I was fearful of going in and trying the new dining room. I was expecting it to be packed. But right now, because it's so new, that's probably what alot of people are thinking,that it will be crazy busy. But it's not! We got seated right away, our server was great! I've never seen her their before, but she was very friendly and outgoing. She also made sure we had everything we needed! The new Pizzas of the world collection is very exciting! We tried the Polynesian Luau and we loved it! I can't wait to go back and try the rest! If you haven't gone yet, you should! I would try it before it gets too busy because this place is sure to take off and quickly! I have to say the best part of all this is that even though it's a new dining room and has servers the prices are the SAME! You can't beat that! Thanks Best NY Pizza! Keep up the good work! You are truly the BEST!

This place just gets better and better! The new dining room is amazing! They really out did themselves and the best part is that they DIDN'T raise the prices! The prices are the SAME! I'm amazed at that, most places will hike their prices up when they upgrade the littlest thing, nope, not Best NY Pizza! They really put their heart and soul, not only into their food, but into this place as well! I love the fact that I can now go there for a nice comfy dinner and have a nice relaxing atmosphere and not pay the price I would in a normal place (that really isn't that good compared to this place). Thank you Best NY Pizza, Keep doing what you are doing! You've got a customer for life!

As far as pizza goes they had excellent pizza and the staff was fast and friendly.
