DETAILS
General Info
Explore 200+ years of rural living as we preserve the agricultural way of life in New Hampshire. Discover agricultural practices and important contributions of country doctors. Interact with the landscape settled by the Remick family in 1790, whose generations included father and son country doctors—the Drs. Remick—who served the local community for a combined 99 years. As a working farm, the animals and buildings are an integral part of the Museum. The story of the farm comes to life as you tour the property, engage with farm animals, and witness daily activities and chores. Take in gardens and walking trails. Tour the Capt. Enoch Remick House (on the National Register of Historic Places) which contains the original doctors' office and apothecary. Beautifully nestled in Tamworth Village, New Hampshire, a "less traveled" area between the White Mountains and Lakes Region. Open spring–fall; store open year-round (days vary by season, call to learn more).Explore 200+ years of rural living as we preserve the agricultural way of life in New Hampshire.
