We took our van to another mechanic in Killeen to have the back brakes fixed. They gave us a quote for $650 to replace the back brake pads, rotors, and repair the calipers, which they said were on the verge of needing to be replaced.. A friend of mine had recommened Shortridge Automotive so I called and asked them if the quote I was give from the other brake place seemed fair. Shortridge Auto said "no", I shouldn't be paying more than $350 for that type of work. So my husband and I decided to go to Shortridge the next day. We live in Harker Heights, but it was worth the 30 minute drive to Shortridge. Come to find out, the rotors just needed to be turned, the calipers had nothing wrong with them, and the brake pads needed to be replaced. We paid $250. We will always go to Shortridge Automotive for all of our auto repair needs. It is hard to find honest mechanics, especially in our military town. I HIGHLY recommend you take your auto repairs to Shortridge Automotive!!!!
