- FramingAn all-season sunroom, also known as a four-season sunroom, is designed to be used year-round in all climates. These sunrooms usually feature higher levels of insulation, double paned glass, and an HVAC system to maintain more consistent temperatures throughout the year. In contrast, a three-season sunroom is designed for use from spring through fall in regions with cold winters. Insulation in these rooms is minimal and they don't have an HVAC unit. Three-season sunrooms are made from aluminum framing with single or double paned glass and have access to the home via an exterior door so that the home stays properly insulated against extreme temperatures in the sunroom.
