      Classic Cuts is where the past meets the future. Providing an "old school feel" barbershop with modern haircuts, straight blade shaves, & even facials to make sure you're looking your best. Classic Cuts Barbershop was open on March 8, 2018 by Jose Escalera (Owner), Miguel (Mike) Gonzalez, and Mazielee (Mazie) Jacobs. The dream was to re-create an old school classic barbershop but with modern hair cuts. We wanted to provide services for both men and women. With this amazing team, we are accomplishing it. We teamed up with a great company called Elegance to provide the best hair products in the market along with the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce and Valparaiso Events. Mike graduated from Success Barber School in 2013. Since his graduation, Mike has worked in two different locations: Urbane Blade in downtown Chicago IL, and All Starz Barbershop in Hobart IN. With over 5 years of experience and licenses to cut hair in two states, he makes a great addition to the team. Mazie graduated Cosmetology School from Don Roberts in 2014. Since her graduation, she has worked at Full Throttle Trims and Tans in Laporte, IN, and Sport Clips, here in Valpo. With her years of experience servicing not only men's hair but woman's hair too, she makes a great addition to the team.
