      I must say being new to the area that this place has a gold mine for a sporting good store. I have not seen many stores that stock as much product as they do. Since I have been in Vernal, I have shopped their frequently and have found they normally have what I need, a couple of times they didn't but they ordered it for me and got it pretty quick. The staff is knowledgable, and this place has a ton of stuff. I wish I had a store like this back in Louisianna.

      Basin Sports Started out in the 1950's with a partnership between Carl Searle and Garth Batty. They ran their sporting goods and electrical business out of a small store on Main Street in Vernal, Utah. This small company began to grow with the hardwork and dedication of these men. After a few years the partnership changed and DeArmon Batty became partner with his father to help run the store that he had grown up in. Over the years these men continued to work hard to provide the peopel of the Uintah Basin quality products wtih great service. There hardwork and legacy is evident today in what Basin Sports has become. Basin Sports has grown and expanded several times over the years to its current size and location. Basin Sports is still run by DeArmon Batty and his wife Jacque with the time honored values that have helped them be successful. Today Basin Sports is the areas leader in the Sporting Goods retail business. Basin Sports belongs to one of the nations largest sporting goods assocations NBS (Nations Best Sports), which allows Basin Sports to buy and negotiate directly with todays largest manufactures in all the sporting goods categories. The savings that Basin Sports is able to get allows them to have the best pricing in the industry for the products they sell, and Basin Sports is able to pass these savings on to their customers. Basin Sports has a simple plan for success. The plan is to offer the best products, wtih the best prices, with outstanding customer service. This simple plan has helped make Basin Sports is the areas Sports Superstore!
