I had supernatural burrito here and I took little extra time to finish it. Bit expensive but great ambiance , great taste and on top of that I parked my car in basement parking opposite to restaurant and it was free as the ticketing meter was broken :-) So value for money.

DO NOT GO HERE! I went here fo...

DO NOT GO HERE! I went here for my friend's birthday party. Everything was fine untill A RAT CRAWLED UNDER OUR TABLE!!! And no, we were not sitting outside. We were with a large group and I didn't want to ruin my friend's birthday; they moved us to a different table. We mostly drank and tried to make the best of it. The owner came out and said the creek down the street was causing the rat infestation. Then, he "graciously" comped my friend's meal. RIDICULOUS!! Had I not been with a large group of people trying to salvage my friend's birthday celebration, I would have made a scene. Also, if the owner had been a good businessman and comped the entire thing, perhaps I would have nicer things to say. Bad management, bad prices, bad service and unclean. Walnut Creek is full of amazing places to eat, don't waste your time on this place-- unless you enjoy over priced drinks and giant rats crawling across your feet.

great food great music

I really enjoyed Maria Maria. The food was exquisite. Not just your oridinary Latin cuisine. The food tasted gourmet and the service was polite and friendly. They were not stingy about your chips or any part of your meal. Some may think it was quite loud, but to me it's just buzzing with happy, full people and great latin music! Overall, Maria Maria is now my new favorite Latin restaurant!

lousy atmosphere, good food

its was the first week open? Never again!

Friday night. Got there at 7pm, they forgot about us, the 20 minute wait ended up over an hour for party of 2. We checked in multiple times with the lady at the front.... Always excuses, other people were seated that came in after us, and i was looking directly at 3 empty tables for a long time. The staff running around being busy stepped over my feet even the manager looking tall man ignored my waiting body. Maybe sitting meant he couldn't see me? the friendly lady passing out guacamole to waiting people came by 5-6 times, but never asked why we were still there.

The staff was professionally dressed in black, good thing i didn't dress in evening clothes that were black! I'd have blended in and looked like staff too?

It was too loud, if they called our name we never heard, we were only 10 feet from the front desk where they asked us to sit.

Finally they put us at a table I'd been staring at for 15 minutes. I finally had to ask for water for my empty water glass, and my wine was delivered before it.

The meal orders were not timely nor collectively delivered. got the fajitas, but no wraps to eat it with for 10 minutes. I had my date eat 1/3 of his meal while we waited, so it didn't get cold. the beans and rice came 15 minutes earlier... were cold for dinner. Oh, and they tried to deliver our dinner to another table first. I hope no one else got to breath on it! The tortilla soup was the only superbly delivered course. tho they had to fetch spoons...while we waited since we didn't' have those either.

The wine steward was very nice as was our friendly waitress. We sat at a 3 foot long table, but I couldn't hear my dinner companion unless i stood up and leaned over the table. Music reverberated off the walls and every other surface making conversation a wash. If i wanted to not talk, I'd go to a concert!

I was on a time limit. I had from 7 to 9.30, I thought 2 and a half hours for a meal enough. But, when it was time to leave i had a difficult time getting the bill processed. I had informed the staff of my time limit. I hunted down an individual to help me have the bill processed, and it was returned... with out being run through the credit card machine. second try was better, tho we had to sign and take care of this in the hallway now, run to get to our car because the bill was another 10 minutes, so we left at 9.40.

Yes i was late picking up my child because of that, but luckily for me no police behind me in the process!!!

END: Wonderful fresh food. Awesome guacamole, even tho i had to eat it in the walkway. Had a great bottle of wine, nice spicy tortilla soup. Food great, service questionable, and overall atmosphere was as nosier than the train station bathroom.
