- Ultrasound
- MRIWe are proud to announce that we offer CESM (Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography) using the SenoBright HD. This new alternative diagnostic method complements today’s breast care. It is an excellent tool for high risk screening, diagnostic work up, and cancer staging. CESM is used in place of MRI for those patients in need of MRI. These include patients with increased risk based on Gail score and those patients with prior lumpectomy. The detection of new disease in patients with prior lumpectomy is superior with this technology. It also has the advantage of lower cost and not needing prior authorization with most insurance companies. We are the second center in Palm Beach County to offer this advance in breast imaging for those patients that would benefit from it.
- MammographyThe PGA, West Palm Beach, Wellington and Jupiter offices offer 3D Tomosynthesis Mammography. This technology takes multiple pictures of the breast from many angles with less pressure on the breast. Researchers believe tomosynthesis will make it easier to see breast cancer in dense breast tissue. We use the GE Senographe Pristina mammogram system which offers a lower dose radiation exposure than other 3D systems.
- Reconstructive SurgeryWhat is Urogynecology? It is a board-certified subspecialty of OBGYN. Once a physician completes a 4 year OBGYN residency, they then complete a 3 year fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, also called Urogynecology. A urogynecologist is a board-certified physician who specializes in treatment of women with pelvic floor disorders. The pelvic floor forms the support for all of the organs and structures in the pelvis. When these structures are damaged or weakened by childbirth, menopause, surgery or heredity, unpleasant symptoms may result. Patients with these disorders often don’t even realize there’s a name for what they have. Of greater concern, many women needing treatment often don’t seek it out because they are embarrassed.
- Botox
- Laparoscopic SurgeryUrogynecology Specialists offers a variety of treatments for these disorders, both non-surgical and surgical. Non-surgical treatments of pelvic floor disorders include pelvic exercises, behavioral or dietary changes, medications, biofeedback, acupuncture, electric stimulation, and/or vaginal devices. Surgical procedures often include less invasive options utilizing the Da Vinci Surgical System or a highly technical laparoscopic surgery.
