HOURS OF OPERATION: UPHS Office is open Monday through Friday from 10: 00 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m. The office is closed on weekends and major holidays. The Ute Pass History Park Museum is open on the second Saturday afternoons of May through September, or tours can be arranged any time of year by appointment. The photo librarian is available on Wednesday afternoons from 1: 00 to 4: 00 at the Museum Center. If you would like to do historical research in our archives please visit during office hours or call for an appointment. The Centennial Trailhead Museum is open to the public seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY: The Ute Pass Historical Society was created in 1976 by local citizens to preserve and share their families' pioneering history and the Native American heritage of the region, including Cascade, Chipita Park, Green Mountain Falls, Crystola, Woodland Park, and Divide, Colorado. The organization is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. Their goal is to preserve and share the history of our local communities for present and future residents and visitors. U PHS operates the Old Curiosity Gift Shop and the Pikes Peak Museum which includes the Centennial Trailhead Museum and Ute Pass History Park. These facilities are located in Woodland Park, CO. UPHS is a registered 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit. UPHS MISSION: The mission of the Ute Pass Historical Society ( UPHS ) is to preserve and protect the region's historical heritage. To accomplish this mission, the Society will collect historical artifacts, provide programs of historical relevance, operate an area resource center or museum, and any other activity that will support and enhance historical preservation and education. BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The UPHS Board of Directors meets on the second Monday of each month. Meetings are held at the UPHS Museum Center, located behind the Woodland Park Library. Guests are welcome at these meetings.
