It's been a couple of years since I lived in Oxnard now, but when I was there, the people at Pettigrew took good care of me. My poor car was in awful shape and failed its smog inspection something fierce. They found the problem immediately, got me parts for less than I'd expected to pay, and my car ran better than it ever had before. It passed its next smog inspection without a problem! The old clunker had so much power and life breathed into it again that the engine broke a couple of its mounts, and tried to escape. What can I say, I was having FUN! But they were able to fix that too, and quite reasonably, I felt. Note: It is illegal for smog check places to diagnose or try to repair your vehicle if it fails inspection. Some smog places like to swindle out-of-state customers (AKA: Military/females) who might not know this. Pettigrews is not a smog-check location, and I felt they were very trustworthy and professional. I recommend them to anybody and everybody.
