The gentleman that came to move me were very professional and they moved everything within 2 hours as I was only moving half of my house. They wrapped everything and secured everything way more that I expected (kudos for Golden Valley and the movers they hired) not what I expected. We all have had our dodgy first apartments. Mine was also dingy, dark, and small and the apartment building itself had no elevator. On top of that, my furniture was second hand pieces I bought from ebay. I was considerably worried about them when I hired golden valley van lines to move them. I expected most of the pieces not to survive the journey given the state they were in. I expected some of the pieces not to make out of my building given the flights of stairs and a narrow stairway. They loaded my possessions in Colorado on 2/19/16 and delivered "most" of my things to Texas on 2/27/16. Several of my boxes were rummaged through and repacked differently. Also, at least 4 of my boxes were stolen/went missing. My missing items include ALL of my jewelry (rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces & watches), ALL of my workout equipment (weights, resistance bands, yoga mats, etc), ALL of my board games and electronic games, a box full of expensive unopened cosmetics and a box of bathroom accessories. The fact that several of my boxes were rummaged through and repacked leads me to believe that my items were stolen.



I filed a report with the Denver Police Department, but was informed that my loss is a civil matter because I signed a contract with Golden Valley Van Lines. I live in Texas, but I'm hiring an attorney in California (their headquarters). They claim to be a local company in Denver. They have a warehouse.

It’s so hard finding movers who are efficient because most companies only hire college going part-time movers. But these movers were very experienced. They finished packing and loading everything from my apartment in just 2 hours. The delivery was made on time and honestly I have nothing to complain about. I think I have fallen in love with their efficiency.

There are so many things that can go wrong during a move. But if you hire Golden valley van lines for the job, chances are it would go perfectly. They handled my move last month. But they had enough vans to provide me the one I needed and movers who were exceptionally efficient. I think no-frills moving companies are really worth looking into because they do the same job as the fancy ones but charge you much lower. I will definitely hire them again.
